Physiotherapists
Melissa Pui (B.Sc.Hons, M.Sc.PT) received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2007 and received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto in 2009. She is a registered member with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and Canadian Physiotherapy Association with a membership to the Orthopaedic division. Melissa has been working in various outpatient orthopaedic settings and enjoys working with clients of all ages. She has treated clients presenting with various musculoskeletal conditions as a result of repetitive strain injuries, whiplash injuries, workplace injuries, sports injuries, and post surgery. She believes in combining manual therapy, functional exercises, and education to assist clients with achieving their rehabilitation goals. Melissa has pursued postgraduate courses in manual therapy, McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, and neuromobilization. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in a multitude of sports including dragon boat, volleyball, and softball.

Darryl Viegas (BSc.PT-U of T) graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours degree in Physiology in 1999 and continued his studies at U of T graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. He has been working since 2002 in the field of orthopaedics treating everything including complex spinal injuries to sports injuries for national and occasional athletes, and repetitive strain injuries from work and play. In 2005 he successfully completed both his Intermediate Certificate and Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. Darryl is a registered instructor with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in the teaching of post graduate orthopaedic courses in Ontario and is also enrolled as a mentor for physiotherapists enrolled in the program. Darryl is also credentialed in the use of medical acupuncture which he utilizes in his practice. Darryl’s treatment philosophy is to blend the use of manual therapy techniques with patient specific exercise programs and education in the treatment and prevention of all orthopaedic injuries.

Tanya Kestenberg (MSc.PT-U of T) is a McMaster University Honours Kinesiology graduate. She completed her Master’s degree in physiotherapy at the University of Toronto. Tanya’s assessment and treatment approach is rooted deeply in the field on manual therapy. She believes in the value of a thorough biomechanical assessment to identify the cause behind the symptoms. As a part of her post-graduate studies, Tanya completed her Intermediate level training in Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. She has great success treating various orthopedic conditions of both traumatic and overuse nature. Her special interest lies in dance rehabilitation. After dancing for 24 years and still continuing, Tanya has an insider’s perspective to dancers’ needs. Combining that insight with her knowledge of biomechanics and rehabilitation techniques is a powerful tool to use to help dancers on their way to a pain-free future.
Massage Therapist
Leylya Zelikson RMT – has been a registered massage therapist for the past 5 years. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH). Leylya enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and is fluent in Russian and English. Leylya enjoyed successfully treating different clients, from athletes to week-end warriors, from trauma patients post car accidents to patients with repetitive strain injuries. She particularly enjoys doing deep tissue massage, but also has been very affective using techniques to promote lymphatic drainage. When indicated, clients usually find massage a nice complimentary treatment to physiotherapy.
